Our first camping season has come to an end. The RV has been winterized. We enjoyed the nine trips we have made since April 2007. Each trip was a learning experience in one way or another. We started the year with a couple of mechanical issues and ended the season with some plumbing issues. Getting used to driving the "beast" came with time. Seven of the trips were made in good weather and two were monsoon ventures.
We met a lot of nice people in our travels. We joined a New Jersey chapter of the Good Sam club after we tagged along with them on a trip to Maine. Come to think of it, we led the trip up. I had the GPS. After Maine, we did trips to Delaware and South Carolina with the Jersey Pioneers.
One pleasant surprise we had on the first trip was how Pogo took to travel. Normally, getting him to go anywhere in the car is not easy.
All in all, we had a great time on our travels. We are looking forward to this spring when we hit the road, again. Now all we need is lower gas prices.
