Friday night, we had sort of a pot luck dinner in Fenton's RV. We went to the casino at Mt. Airy Lodge. A few years ago, I played golf at the course at the resort. The place was boarded up and only operating the course. Now there is a beautiful hotel and casino complex where the old run down hotel had stood. The golf course is closed for a year while it is being renovated. I did well enough in the casino to cover the cost of the weekend with some to spare.
Saturday, the group went to a flea market and a winery. We had dinner out and returned to the casino afterwards. Joyce & I left early as we seem to have left Lady Luck somewhere else that night.
The RV's hot water heater uses both gas and electricity to heat the water. Ours was not working with gas. The electric worked fine, but the gas would start then stop after about 30 seconds. I told Darryl and Fenton about it and Fenton taught me Hot Water Heater 101. I opened mine up when we got home and I found the problem, fixed it, and saved a trip to a RV service center. The nearest RV dealer/service center is about 25 miles. I saved about 8 gallons of gas plus what they would charge to fix the problem. That money will go for gas for our next trip.
As I type, Joyce is looking into campsites in Tennessee. This could be our July trip. We have put off the trip to the West for this year.
